INSTALLATION

CLEAN, FAST, DURABLE

Argelith tiles can be laid using both the classic thin-set method and the vibration procedure. As our ceramic floor tiles have been developed for use in high-performance applications, we recommend the vibration procedure, given its various advantages. The workgroup responsible for the quality assurance of floors laid using the vibration procedure has developed the process for the specific purposes of long-lasting ceramic-tile floors installed on commercial and industrial premises.

BENEFITS

  • PERFECTLY FLAT, EXTREMELY HARD-WEARING SURFACES
  • MINIMAL JOINT GAPS
  • OPTIMUM PRICE-TO-PERFORMANCE RATIO
  • SHORT LEAD TIMES
  • HIGH QUALITY STANDARDS

FLOORS LAID USING THE VIBRATION PROCEDURE

Ceramic floors can be laid directly onto the weight-bearing substructure, onto separation layers or onto insulating material. The minimum depth of the bedding layer is 40 mm for bonded systems, 65 mm non-bonded systems and 85 mm with insulating material.

The materials used for installation and grouting are applied wet-on-wet, and coordinated so that they dry at the same time to create a firm adhesion between the underlying surface and the ceramic clinker or stoneware tiles on top. A team of four installers using this installation technique can complete approximately 122 m² to 200 m² of floor per day.

CORNERS AND SKIRTING

Corners and skirting strips are always a particular challenge when it comes to installing floors. The points of transition to the walls and corners of the room must be cleanly and precisely laid to ensure subsequent ease of cleaning. We offer a large range of corner-pieces, mitered tiles and grooved skirting sections designed to meet the needs of virtually any room. Our experts will be able to tell you which product and which configuration are best for each area of application.
