In times
when markets grow more and more complex, we increasingly look for orientation:
experience and tradition provide confidence to make a decision in favour of a
certain product or a company.
That’s where Argelith makes a start. Since 1870 we have been manufacturing
ceramic products at our location in Wehrendorf. It has always been our aim to
supply our customers with highest quality. So, we swam against the stream in
the middle of the sixties: with the “thin tile”, the ceramic industry changed
to mass production and covered most of that time’s needs. But, Argelith did it
differently. We specialized in the manufacturing of ceramic tiles and stoneware
from a thickness of 15 mm upwards, as the industry was in need of ceramic
floors able to withstand heavy loads. Our ceramic clinker tiles perfectly
fulfilled this need.
This decision set new standards. Again and again, we brought all production
areas technically up to date. That’s how we were always able to offer the
high-quality tiles to the market. And in the course of time, this requirement
for quality succeeded. At the end of the 1990s, the market asked more and more
for fully vitrified tiles with a thickness from 12 mm upwards. Therefore Argelith
decided in 2001 to build Europe’s most
advanced stoneware factory for these thicknesses.
We have never regretted this step, because our tradition makes us feel
obligated to produce innovative tiles to meet the needs of the market under the
name Argelith.
You can rely on us maintaining these standards in the future.
